found info on the ship called the Fog Strider via internetz:

• Water and wine were poured over board when it was named Ωστόσο, γρήγορα μπορεί η ομίχλη να σπάσει ακόμα στο βήμα της (Yet swiftly may the fog still break at her step) in 950 CE/AD
• Built of reclaimed materials Fog Strider was once a Dromon and one of the 100 of her type helped in the Emperor Nicephoros Phocas retake pirate outposts in the Mediterranean Sea
• Initially retired to her home port of Ithaca in 1230 she was recalled to the siege of Constantinople where she was sunk in the Black Sea
• Salvage rights were eventually claimed by a Dramari Drazdov in 1463 and after that the ship becomes urban legend sailing rivers which half a millenia after it was commissioned
• Even the rumors of the ship drop off after April of 1465, it was last spotted in the village of Chisinau
