    The Machine Preservation Club (MPC) is based at the old Midland Rail workshops.

    We maintain the old Boiler Room which adjoins the power house. All of the machinery is operational and maintained by the MPC.

    Walking through the main doors you would be forgiven thinking you walked back in time to old Blighty.. Along with the machinery the buildings are heritage listed. There is so much history for people to see and a part of Perth people have forgotten..

    We have an open day coming up on the 12 th of October.

    As well as the Railway Museum collection, there are model trains, a railway swap meet, activities for children and ride on miniature trains by Northern Districts Model Engineering Society, a historic railway road coach from Bus Preservation Society as well as the local railway preservation groups. All this for just the usual admission charge.



    Railfest runs from 10am to 4pm.
