In part one, Maureen tells us how she travelled from Ireland to France, first working as an English teacher, before becoming a trade unionist at a French power company. It was in this role that she started asking questions about the secret international sale of French technology. After continuing to push the issue, Maureen was threatened and ultimately attacked by an intruder in her own home.
