  • Pursuing the Special Education 4+1 Program with Ashley Lynch - Episode 2
    Nov 22 2022

The need for special educators has arguably never been higher. To help address this critical shortage, Roger Williams University created a special M.A. in Special Education program that can be completed in as little as one year on a full-time basis.

One option for completing the program is a special 4+1 offering, which allows students both at RWU and other institutions the opportunity to take two graduate courses online during their senior year, providing significant time and financial savings.

In this episode, Ashley Lynch shares her experience as a 4+1 student, advice she has for students considering special education, and details on what she hopes to do in the future.

    Oct 3 2022

The field of mental health counseling has been around for nearly 70 years, but the need for more specialized approaches to counseling only came to light in the latter part of the 20th century. The field of Forensic Mental Health Counseling was born.

Listen in on this conversation with Roger Williams University second-year Forensic Mental Health Counseling student Rachel Candelaria on her journey to finding the field and RWU, her internship with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, advice she has for all students seeking an education in forensic psychology, and more.
