  • Episode 10 - Tom O'Stasik - Keller Williams Realty Preferred
    Nov 17 2022

Tom O'Stasik joins me on episode 10.

Tom's thoughts on doing anything different. "Fortunately, my sales background, I fell back into a groove of applying what I've known there. I've done entrepreneurial endeavors in the past. I've done YouTube channels in the past, and it seems like this profession has been a culmination of all these different skill sets I've learned. Combined with a passion for it and I don't know that I would do it any different. Sure. Maybe a couple tweaks here and there, but nothing, I've been pretty satisfied with the road I've been down."

Mentorship? "I think mentorship Is absolutely valuable. I didn't really have it jumping into the real estate business. I spent a lot of time circling it, studying it. I got involved with Keller Williams because I really liked the woman that led the the office that I joined, and she seemed to be in line with my values, interests and goals. And she's also a coach, so I knew I had a mentor there. I understand the value of mentorship and the coaching aspect given my history of, I used to be a professional golfer back in the day, so I absolutely understand there's value in that, and that's part of why I chose Keller Williams. And so I have had that feedback or that assistance."

  • Episode 9 - Savannah Armstrong - McGraw REALTORS®
    Nov 17 2022

Savannah Armstrong with McGraw REALTORS® had a meteoric rise to Tulsa Top Producer status.

"I think quitting teaching that was a really large risk for me. I was, used to a specific pay scale and used to, a routine. And I got to the point last summer where, I just couldn't manage both anymore. School was fixing to start. And I had seven things pending at one time, and then I was bringing on a couple of new listings and I just I couldn't manage. I was extremely overwhelmed and so I just thought, okay, it's time. My business told me when it's time to quit."

"Yeah. I made that shift in my mindset, and there's a little part of me that feels bad, like saying, oh, I was so focused on the deal, but let's just be real. I think that every agent has that moment where they, they're just so focused on the transaction I think it's okay to just sit back and say, yep I got my focus off and I needed. Get some realignment going on and get back on track."

  • Episode 8 - Shea Fite - Skyline Realty
    Nov 16 2022

Great stuff from Shea Fite with Skyline Realty in Tulsa, my guest on Episode 8!

"The the interviewee said, Hey here's what it is. I want you to call all of our prospective donors and ask them for money and sell them on our upcoming projects. And she goes, How does that sound? And I just, I realized I'd be behind a desk. Yeah. I'm a cold caller. Yeah. Cold call. Cold call. Cold call."

"I think at 42, 43 years old. Yeah. I was starting to get older and grumpier, and I just looked at her and I said, That sounds awful. And it, and the funny thing about that was she was visibly shocked that somebody would say that in an interview, that somebody would just say I don't want to do this at all."
