Pure Religion | Be Wise - James 3

  • Summary

  • James chapter three begins with a caution against becoming a teacher of God's Word. Then, we learn about wisdom and the dangers of the "tongue" or the words we say.

Ultimately, we are challenged to see the dangerous nature of speaking out of turn or of professing something true that we know nothing about. James says these unwise words are akin to lighting a small fire and leaving it unattended in a dry forest. Like a biblical Smokey the Bear, James warns us of the potential to burn the whole world down.

Grab your Bible and join us as we dig into the scriptures and face the challenge to be wise with our words and in our speech.
