Poppy Hillstead • Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip #593

  • Summary

  • Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!

This week Pip is joined by the wonderful writer, podcaster, artist and filmmaker POPPY HILLSTEAD!

Poppy's been in the game for a minute and you will very likely know and appreciate her fine work in the podcasting realm (including Gossipmongers, Has Entered The Chat and presently Brainwash Me, but she's been putting in a ton of work over the years in all aspects of the media. We catch up with Poppy hot on the heels of a returning pet cat, and go straight into the very strange world of the chatroom areas of the internet and how they almost instantly elevate to sex talk, her many varied podcasts, finding comedy through early animation work, the adoption of a brainscanner for the new podcast, sections of society that are either chill or just weird, and bringing out and/or celebrating the gross. Fun and crazy at all times, and when dealing with the underworld of the internet, just to let you know, expect to hear some extreme bits and pieces here and there (nothing purely miserable, just, ya know, be cautious if you're sensitive!). Enjoy!
