  • Kalaimamani Dr. Sinduri Jayasinghe started her dance career as a child prodigy and quickly became an internationally acclaimed Indian Classical Dancer, now based in Los Angeles, CA.

    She carries a doctorate in Bharathanatyam and Kuchipudi, and is also very well versed in Kathak, Mohiniattam, and all folk dances of India.

    Dr. Sinduri specialises in creating dance dramas, with the subject matter ranging from Ancient Indian Mythology to commentary on social justice issues.

    Dr. Sinduri broke records in her career, such as being the youngest dancer invited to perform at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi in the early 90s.

    Though based in LA, Dr. Sinduri has students from all over the world, tuning into class through Zoom. Her most recent dance drama was titled “Rashtrapita,” a performance about Mahatma Gandhi’s life.
