• 246 // You're Becoming Hysterical: Ten Years of Isolation Part Three
    Jun 18 2024

One of the most iconic new elements introduced by Alien: Isolation ten years ago—at least judging by how often it's been referenced in the expanded universe and fan art—is the Working Joe.

Unlike their Hyperdyne competitors, Seegson Synthetics' androids are ... rudimentary, to put it mildly. Not only are they utilitarian and cheap, they are outright dangerous. Hilarious as they are terrifying, Working Joes are a major element of any Isolation playthrough.

On today's episode, Jaime, Patrick, and Christian are joined by our friend Adam Zeller of Alien vs. Predator Galaxy and first-time guest Matt Savage (Concept Designer for a little film you might've heard of called Alien: Romulus).

Make sure you follow Matt on IG at mattsav.concept, and be sure to subscribe to the AvP Galaxy Podcast if you haven't already!

    May 28 2024

In a first for Perfect Organism: The Alien Saga Podcast, this episode is hosted by Andie Geekgirl featuring an all female panel consisting of co- author of Inferno's Fall, Clara Carja, Narrator of ALIENS: Bishop, Shiromi Arserio and the voice of Maeko from ALIENS: Dark Descent, Julianna Kurokawa. In this very special presentation, Andie guides our guests through a discussion on the legacy of Ellen Ripley, what she means to everyone as women and what it's like to be female fans in a very male-dominated fandom. This is hands down, one of our best episodes we've released. We hope you enjoy!

  • 242 // ALIEN DAY: Interviewing Christian Kennedy, Director of No Man's Land (2024)
    Apr 26 2024

There's a saying in Hollywood: if you want to get your film made, be able to pitch it in an elevator ride. The setup for No Man's Land, Christian Kennedy's mega-hit Alien fan film, is about as pitchable as it gets: "Battlefield I meets Aliens."

Of course, a pitch will only get you so far. The execution is where the real magic happens. And Christian's film—which is just under 30 minutes long and has already racked up nearly 4.5 million views—is a masterclass in execution.

With killer cinematography, great effects, period-accurate costuming, and some great xenos, No Man's Land has been a massive hit with Alien fans since its release just two months ago.

In this Alien Day special, Jaime and Perry discuss the film with Christian and learn how he brought such an ambitious vision to life without a massive Hollywood budget.

Make sure you watch the film first! You can do so here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5Fnlq2T0Vg&t=1459s
