  • Summary

  • Welcome to episode 13 of FPL Pod VS Tok, where Matt and Nick provide their own unique spin when it comes to all things FPL.

This week's show features selected clips from AFC Croydon Athletic VS Herne Bay FC but, of course, the lads focus their efforts on the Premier League and provide reviews and analysis of their game weeks 9 and 10.

The FPL chat includes a celebration Nottingham Forest's talisman, (and future Ballon d'Or winner, surely), Chris Wood. Who would have thought that The Reds would be contenders for Champions League qualification? As Nick says: "Things are a little different this year." The lads also make the case for the defence of Manchester City's own golden boy Erling Haaland in the wake of, well by his very high standards, a poor run of form.

Recorded on Bonfire Night in the UK and Election Day in the United States, the conversation weaves and wanders around FPL chat, analysis and previews and into territory such as the divine beauty of David Ginola and Gabriel Batistuta as well as potential condiment based merchandise for Mo Salah in the tradition of the legendary Paul Newman. In tribute to the legend that is Chris Wood, we also ask whether we have any listeners committed enough to listen to New Zealand football matches in the early hours of Blighty Time! All will be explained in this episode, we promise!

Matt and Nick finish the pod by looking forward to AFC Wimbledon VS Grimsby (November 9th), Chelsea VS Manchester City in the WSL (November 16th) and AFC Wimbledon VS Accrington Stanley, "who are they?", on the 19th of November. All of which will get the FPL Pod VS Tok treatment as we capture some clips of our experiences from these match days for future episodes of the podcast.

So, "que Salah, Salah," and remember, keep it fun, and keep it FPL!

    See you soon!
