  • S1 Ep. 2: Outpatient Therapy with Mike Christensen | The Weight Of The World
    Aug 25 2022

Hello everyone, and welcome to the latest episode of Outpatient Therapy. This weeks show features “The Voice Monkey” Mike Christensen!

Mike goes into detail about his struggles with his weight throughout his life. The embarrassing times, the overeating and the desire to feel confident in his own skin. He talks about it all!

Life threw Mike some curve balls early on and he had to adapt and find employment at a very young age. During this stage of his life he turned to food for comfort. Mike talks about the addiction and how things came to a head during Covid.

The pandemic made things much worse in more ways than one. Mike was weighing in at 320lbs and was feeling awful. He knew that if he kept this up nothing good was going to happen and he was trying to find the answers he needed to make the change.

He would go on to learn about Gastric Bypass Surgery and had the procedure shortly after. Mike talks about the surgery and how he has managed to keep off the weight even after all was said and done.

Mike is a true role model to anyone looking to lose weight. He's always willing to lend an ear, so reach out to him at thevoicemonkey@gmail.com for any questions you might have in regards to weight loss or Gastric Bypass.

  • S1 Ep1: Outpatient Therapy with Mike Tarnow | Listen To Your Body
    Jul 6 2022

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first episode of Outpatient Therapy. This show is a spinoff from A Vo's Padded Room, as we tackle some serious topics and learn from our various guests on the show.

Unlike A Vo's Padded Room where we are strictly audio based, Outpatient Therapy will focus on sitting with our guests through video and learning about their trials and tribulations.

Our first guest, Mike Tarnow, is no stranger to the voice over world. We've had Mike on the Padded Room (S1-Episode 14) and he's always been a joy to talk to. Mike recently reached out to me and was wondering if he could talk about an extremely important topic. The subject of Cancer.

Mike has stage 2 esophageal cancer and he wanted to go over what happened when he discovered there was something wrong and the signs and symptoms to look out for.

Mike is a wonderful human being and we had a great time learning more about his fight and what it means to him and his family finding this type of cancer early on.

So sit back and take some notes as we delve into the first episode of Outpatient Therapy with voice over specialist Mike Tarnow.

If you or someone you know would like to come on Outpatient Therapy you can reach out to Brad Storm or Big Jim at avospaddedroom@gmail.com.
