  • Autonomy in Midwifery with Tanja
    Apr 2 2024
Tanja introduces us to Autonomy in Midwifery, shares her career as a midwife and process to de-register. She worked in New Zealand and the Netherlands where she developed her Midwifery practice. We also go into vaccines, programs and experiencing this world as an autonomous being. This one is provocative, bringing unique personal experiences and questioning our underlying intentions as Midwifes and unintended consequences we can bring to the birth space.

  • Visionary midwifery school + fearless action
    Feb 26 2024

This conversation takes place under the visionary and only post-modern radical and free midwifery and birth keeper school in Europe, seeded by Vanessa Brooks. She is a women with an extraordinary breath of stories and experience. We delve into her journey as a Patera (lay midwife), persecution, midwife at births in a free community in the Alpujarra Mountains and world wide travels with Midwifery Today. Vanessa holds the hearts of many midwifes working out of the system and continues to support student Midwifes, teachers and everyone to work from truth through challenges and bullying.

  • A Midwifes Courage, Power + Persecution
    Feb 26 2024

Agnes is inspiring and worked as the only Independent Home Birth Midwife in her country for 12 years during which time she had 4 children. Before this she was one of only 15 obstetricians/Gynacologists in Hungary. She has been persecuted for her work and experienced the modern day witch hunt after serving at 3,500 births over 22 years. Agnes has a golden kindness and an incredible way of being support for women. Her case came before European Court of Human Rights, and won setting a massive precedent of Autonomy in birth, which has set a major precedent. I honour Agnes sharing on a podcast platform in English which is not her mother tongue, showing a slither of her insane courage!

Find out more through the Freedom For Birth Doccumentary “A 60 minute documentary telling the story of how a Hungarian mother, Anna Ternovszky, took her country to the European Court of Human Rights to win the right to choose where and how to give birth. We were inspired to make the film by the injustice happening to Anna’s home birth midwife, Agnes Gereb, who had been imprisoned and at the time of filming was under house arrest and facing multiple criminal charges (and even today, four years later, Agnes is still facing multiple charges).” https://microbirth.com/freedom-for-birth/

  • A Homeopath's stories + psychedelic Homebirth at 42
    Feb 26 2024

Elizabeth is the community homeopath of the Alpujarra, personally reaching so many of us. She works with this energy medicine on many levels, beginning with the intelligence of water. We speak of her many homeopathic healing stories, personal practice of heart coherence and the electromagnetic field of human beings. We enjoy when she shares her short and gently psychedelic home birth of her son at 42 and some mothering tips and reflections. This is a rich joyous conversation taken place in the community gardens of Bayacas.

  • Freedom in everything, birth + Medicine
    Feb 1 2024

Pepa is a Spanish woman who’s presence draws many people. We speak of her life in Bolivia, birthing her son simply with a traditional Midwife and her second home birth of twins. We move into her knowledge and guidance of plant medicine which has been her teacher for over 10 years and unravelling of the holds of our minds and true freedom. Be drawn in by the silent beauty of this conversation. We love the birds who also joined this conversation and you can hear their song as you listen.
