One Point Perspective

By: Lindsay Paul
  • Summary

  • After two years of film school and countless conversations about “what I want to do with my life,” I have decided to make the argument that film isn’t a “bullsh*t humanities major.” With One Point Perspective, I hope to share both the importance of the discipline and my passion for cinema in a laidback and conversational format.

Episodes will range from critical analysis of popular media, to talking about why “bad” movies are important, and explaining why I think blockbusters are the death of film as an art. I hope you come along for the ride and maybe learn a little something about what it means to study cinema.

HELLO HELLO HELLOOOOO! Welcome to the first episode of One Point Perspective where I dive into discussing horror. Today, I offer my own perspective of the gory genre through the approach of gender and sexuality while putting my own opinions into conversation with established film theorists.
