Old Hollywood Minds trailer | All about Classic Film people who have/had struggled with mental health, substance use and/or chronic health issues

  • Summary

  • Welcome, welcome to the old Hollywood Minds podcast. I'm your host, Rebecca Lee, and I'm introducing a brand new podcast all about old Hollywood people and classic film people who have struggled with mental health, substance use, and chronic health issues. Now, how am I qualified to talk about it? Well, I'm a classic film fanatic and amateur at that. And I also ran an unofficial archive of classic film actress, Anna May Wong, and I also have a background in film and media studies at Arizona State University.

I also have personal lived experience with mental health and chronic health issues. I myself have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, anxiety, and OCD, and I also have, um, going through some health issues, chronic health issues that are yet to be diagnosed. But I'm thinking it might be arthritis or something like that.

Now about the format of the podcast. I will be doing an interview style and maybe sometimes a solo style, but I'm hoping for an interview style podcast and it'll mostly be discussion based and, you know, very detailed going into, depending on the person that we're gonna talk about, but it'll be very detailed, but educational and fun at the same time.

The release date is yet to be determined, but you can keep up with our updates on Instagram at @oldhollywoodminds. You can also check our website at Anchor and also wherever podcasts are released that you listen to, and hopefully an email list, and then you can get updates of when we'll release the episodes.

    Thank you for listening.

***Debunking myths/misconceptions and associated stigma one episode at a time.
