  • Welcome to Game Warden Connection, Carlos and I are eager to jump headfirst into the wonderful world of waterfowl, right here in the heart of America. We were lucky enough to have met up with some passionate waterfowlers who shared their views on duck hunting in Oklahoma. There is so much information, we have to turn this into a series. You do not want to miss these episodes! There is something for everyone in this series regardless of your experience.

    The first in our cast of Characters is Big Hugh Mclaurin, of Elloree, South Carolina. Hugh has been in pursuit of ducks for nearly 6 decades and he is the man behind Big Lake Duck Calls. His passion is apparent, and he obviously loves traveling to the sooner state for waterfowl… he gives us a history lesson and some solid tips for anyone duck hunting today. After listening to Hugh, you quickly understand just how passionate he is for ducks.

    We also meet up with Ben Haff, an Oklahoma Game Warden stationed along the Ft. Gibson Lake in NE Oklahoma. You might think Ben is just a Game Warden but don’t be fooled by that pressed uniform he is also a very avid duck hunter! Ben shares many great thoughts, tips, and ideas that will help you become a better duck hunter and all-around better sportsman. There is so much more to come in Part 2 of Oklahoma Duck Hunting so stay tuned because it is on the way!
