The significance of one of One Piece's most divided arcs is now providing a vague hope to the path of what could happen in the ongoing arc and, possibly, the finale to the series. Jacob foresees a path in the IRL timeline of Oda starting "The Golden Age of Fan Fiction" that will rival the Star Wars EU, and Justin considers the very real likelihood of an old villain and his new followers crashing the party to reintroduce the themes of defying the will of gods.
