  • 3/11/22 Mind, Body, and Spirit
    Mar 12 2022

Father Pat discusses that we are made in the image of God, so we work on our mind, body, and spirit daily. If we discipline our bodies we can discipline our minds; and if we discipline our body we can use our hands to give to the poor rather than take, and we can use our tongues for speaking kind words instead of gossip. Father reflects on the teachings of Jesus about the way we live and how to enter the Kingdom of Heaven here and now. God is merciful and is ready to forgive us no matter what we have done. Lent, is a time of atonement and Father Pat reminds us that our good works of the past are gone, and we are called to seek forgiveness and righteousness now, to Love now, to pray daily, to begin our day with Jesus, to go to Mass, and to amend the relationships we have broken.

  • 3/10/22 Ask, Seek, and Knock
    Mar 11 2022

Today Father reflects on God as our Good Father who answers our requests in special ways. He discusses what to ask the Father for; virtues such as wisdom, chastity,  patience etc. He says when we ask for heavenly things, we receive them right away if we let go of our fears and resentments and outstretch our arms to our good and loving Father who is pleased to deliver. Furthermore, he also touches on our hearts' deepest desires and says if we are not receiving them yet, God is preparing us so that when he DOES deliver them, we are overjoyed and truly grateful for the gift.
