A young journalist Sile McGowan and her police escort, Sergeant Patrick Gilroy, investigate the case of a young nun kidnapped by an IRA bomb manufacturer twenty years before.

Dorothy and Johnny battle a storm to get over the Irish boarder. Sergeant Patrick Gilroy suspects he may have bitten off more than he can chew, escorting the straight talking Sile McGowan to her first interview with the reverend mother.

Dorothy and Johnny visit a Dublin Shebeen and Johnny's reputation comes back to haunt him when he's forced to box Gypsies for petrol money. Sile and Patrick interview bar owner Briege Brownlee and things get hot and asthmatic on the dance floor.
