He is a Laureate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Arizona and Institute Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prof. Chomsky has more than 150 books on linguistics, war, politics, and mass media. Ideologically, he aligns with anarcho-syndicalism and libertarian socialism. At India & Global Left, we interviewed Prof. Chomsky on wide-ranging issues such as anarchism and the state, Islamophobia, India-Pakistan relation, Kashmir, nuclear disarmament, and public education. Firstly, we intend to take these critical issues from South Asia to a broader public. Secondly, we hope to generate a conversation within the global left, focusing on South Asia.
