Luke tells us of the Angels visitation announcing the Arrival of Messiah and announcing the news of Great Joy. We have Joy in the Incarnation of the Son of God. The Psalmist said, “Those who sow in tears will reap Joy.” The Arrival of Jesus brings about the Joy of our salvation.

As we end this section of Matthew, we come to another of Jesus’ miracles. He delivers another demonized man. But as usual his envious enemies are not happy. In fact they begin to attack Him. Specifically character assassinate Him. Which brings up our theme for this Sunday; What do you do when your faith is attacked? I think we should do what Jesus did. And what did He do? One of the great experiences we have in Christ is, “We never know what tomorrow brings.” And yes, tomorrow can hold some unwanted bad turns in life. It is a fallen world. BUT in Christ we can have a hope that our Savior, the Creator of all things, has some good things for us in our tomorrow. He can change our circumstances in a moment for good. Today we look at people who experienced such a change. Join me as we look at Jairus daughter and the woman with the issue of blood.
