  • Summary

  • In a sport where it's already difficult to play professionaly overseas, it is twice as hard to do so as a Black person. No matter where we go there is still hatered. We have to choose to either stay in the states and be discriminated against or go play overseas chansing a dream just to be treated the same way we are here. There are countries that we are not able to play in just because it could mean our lives, which then gives us less than half the playing opportunities as our white counter parts. In this episode of Motiv8 we bring on a special guest Eugene Stuart who is currently in his 2nd season playing professionally overseas. A Bahama native, Gene played for the University of Charleston before starting his pro career. We're excited to have Gene on to help us educate the next generation and discuss the dark side of what its like to be Black playing professionally overseas.
