Natalie Jess-Fiene (Truro Forest School): We belong in the Woods

  • Summary

  • We talk all thing Truro Forest School in this episode with the inspiring Natalie Jess-Fiene.

Natalie wears a lot of hats. She is the Program Director of Truro Forest School, and has 15 years of experience as an archeologist, and silviculturalist. AND on top of that, she is military trained.

She explains what Forest school is all about, including why and how it benefits children, how it’s different than ‘regular’ school, and the importance of everyone, not just children, to connect with Mother Nature herself.

One thing we absolutely adore: Natalie’s so so passionate about the true history of land-use; the connection between culture and nature; and how we can all contribute to environmental preservation and sustainability - which as you’ll learn, can begin at a young age!
