NFL Week 9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire and Week 8 Recap (Ep. 157)

  • Summary

  • Old-Fashioned Football is back with our Fantasy Football Week 8 waiver wires and recap! Did Week 8 not go as planned? Did you take an L and need some help on your roster? Maybe you just need better depth. Are you really needing some depth for the playoff push? Don't worry, Old-Fashioned Football has you covered!

Cohosts JMark and Mir go over the injury report and tell you what players may miss Week 9. They give out some of the studs and duds from Week 8 and recap quarterbacks with "Sir Throws A Lot". After giving out the fantasy football recap, the hosts shift to Underdog Fantasy and give out a Monday Night Football Underdog Fantasy entry.

After this, the hosts give out their fantasy football Week 9 waiver wire pickups. They give out one player each per position. Who do they feel you should be targeting and why? They pick players rostered in less than 50% of leagues to hopefully help you find somebody who's available that can help your team out!

Finally, they finish Week 8 talk with best bets for Monday Night Football. Who do they think will score the first touchdown and what prop do each of the hosts like?

    Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke Review

As always, it isn't all football on Old-Fashioned Football. After the Week 8 recap, they turn their attention to whiskey. Today the hosts are trying Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke bourbon! Find out more about how this Jim Beam product came about!

The hosts give a short background on former master distiller Booker Noe and what went into creating Basil Hayden. They also talk about the original Basil Hayden, and why subtle smoke gets the name it does.
