Myths and Legends

By: Jason Weiser Carissa Weiser Nextpod
  • Summary

  • Jason Weiser and Carissa Weiser tell stories from myths, legends, and folklore that have shaped cultures throughout history. Some, like the stories of Aladdin, King Arthur, and Hercules are stories you think you know, but with surprising origins. Others are stories you might not have heard, but really should. All the stories are sourced from world folklore, but retold for modern ears. These are stories of wizards, knights, Vikings, dragons, princesses, and kings from the time when the world beyond the map was a dangerous and wonderful place.

📝A Cavern Full of Snakes is apparently a Great Classroom📝 Hasib is still stuck in the room with the Queen of Serpents and twelve thousand snakes, and the QoS a story to tell. Two of them, actually. Long ones. Two years' worth of stories of guys lost in the world...and two different ways of dealing with mistakes and loss. Basically, she's being a very tricky teacher.

    😈 The Creature: Wokulo

Tiny invisible hairy naked men could be watching you right now. And they're really good at wrestling.

Adventure Time

If you still like storytime as an adult then this is absolutely worth your time, you can find the epic stories of King Arthur, Hercules, and The Monkey King, but also many criminally underrated stories like Arrow Odd (ep31) Tatterhood (ep146) and The Mabinogian (ep181 & 217)

The writers have a great sense of humour, I work outdoors and highly recommend listening to a story outside, if you don't mind laughing in public for no apparent reason.

This podcast does exactly what it says on the box.
I used a different app, but have listened to every episode, even the early ones.
