  • Do Others Opinions Matter?
    Dec 27 2022

On the final episode of My Favorite Therapist, we wrap up this series discussing parenting, criticism, feedback, opinions and more! Constructive criticism can be helpful but also hurtful and when feedback is messy the message is lost. Take the time to be kind, to know who is kind to you and to know who is in your corner. Not allowing peoples opinions to dictate who we are and learning to understand others motives is challenging. Bring the real you to the table and allow the opinions of those who love and care for you. Were going into 2023 as New Year, Same Kind Us!

We discuss educating people instead of attacking them, gentle ways to get a point across and the understanding that there has to be a climate of learning and growing.

In this episode we unpack the friendship fallout. The red flags, the green flags, and the moments that we have to recognize we are all just humans , but in the end how do you know if the situation is even worth repairing or do you walk away? Sometime we don't have to react just take the time to respond. What we should do is show up, for ourselves, for them and create a life of balance to move forward or move on! We even get to hear Christy sing a little tune as Laurie helps her unpack the load she has carried through one of the most challenging friendship years.
