  • Christie is a wife and mother of two sweet little girls, a birth doula at Birthing You Doula Services, and birth photographer at Captured by Christie.Her passion for birth began with attending births as a photographer, but overtime, she wanted to be able to play a more active role in the support of women during pregnancy and birth. After enrolling in a doula certification program, she found out she was pregnant with her second baby. Having a night and day pregnancy experience from her first to her second, opened her eyes to a whole new realm of struggles women face during pregnancy that she had not faced before. Soon after she was hit with the ton of bricks that her second pregnancy was, she hired a doula to help support her. Having our doula with us through the end of pregnancy and for our birth experience was a game changer. For her, it relit the fire in me to support women in their birth stories and become advocate for women to be seen, heard, and understood throughout their birthing experience.
