In our Foundations series covering Genesis chapters 1-11, we now come to the moment they enter the Ark. An interestingly, it is Noah, the father that leads his family into the ark. Father’s lead the way in spiritual things, AND dad’s, it is much simpler than some people make it. So today, we follow Noah and the family into their ark of safety as the flood now approaches.

In this teaching we now examine some of the details of the ark Noah was commanded by God to build. Many images and misconceptions of the Ark lead some to believe the ark was not very large, when in fact it was around 500’ long. So it is a huge vessel with plenty of room to house the land dwelling animals. Join us as we now enter the Flood Zone with Noah and his family.

Today we look at one of the more interesting sections of Genesis, that’s right, the Nephilim. These were large people that lived in the pre-flood era. Who were they? Why were they so large? Are they ever seen again? There are many thoughts on who they were and how they came to be. Cain has sinned by murdering his brother Abel and with any sin comes consequences. In this teaching we will look at Cain’s consequences in detail. As we progress we will see how the root of rejection led to personal pain in his life. Cain thought he could get away with it. But the problem with that is, God sees and knows everything and because of Cain’s lack of repentance he suffers greatly. We can learn much from his mistakes.

Today we begin chapter 4 of our foundations series in Genesis. Specifically we look at Cain and Abel. I have titled this, “Dealing with anger: Cain and Abel.” I’ve been around long enough to know there are plenty of angry people around. I was one of them. I was on that team for decades. So I know a bit about it and its destructive fruit. Today we look at an angry man we know as Cain and we figure out how to deal with anger.

In this teaching we focus on the fall out of sin. Specifically on Adam. Due to sin corruption enters into a once perfect world and now for Adam, life will have it’s difficulties. And that goes for all of us descendants of Adam. We will also see the mercy of God in this text as God sacrifices an animal to cover Adam and Eve. This is a beautiful picture of what the God man Jesus Christ will go through to save us from our sins.
