Michael Earley Named Texas A&M Baseball Head Coach (Ep. 146)

  • Summary

  • The College Baseball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network talks about Texas A&M Baseball hiring Michael Earley to be the new head coach. Noah Bieniek (@NoahB77_) sheds his insight and grades the new hire. Sunday morning around 9 AM Central time word got out that Texas A&M had made up their mind. Athletic Director Trev Alberts and company decided to hire Michael Earley. He will be a first year head coach in 2025. Earley has a good track record now coming from the Jim Schlossnagle coaching tree with some College World Series appearances and SEC experience. Was it a good hire for the long term? Did Texas A&M even interview realistic candidates to be hired as their baseball coach? Earley is young with a ton of energy. That has resonated with the players and they were all clamoring for Earley to get the job. With the announcement players are planning to remove their names from the portal, which is a big win for Aggieland. Jace LaViolette, Gavin Grahovac, Ali Camarillo, many incoming Freshman, and incoming transfers are all expected to play in College Station next year. In order to best support a first year coach you need some head coaching experience on the staff. What sitting head coach did Texas A&M Baseball poach to be on their staff? Who else did A&M and Earley choose to fill out the coaching staff? Bieniek will return to The College Baseball Experience podcast and show with any more developments. Stick with us throughout the offseason for periodical transfer portal and coaching carousel updates as well as any other news along the way.
