Melonie Syrett - The Drum Woman

  • Summary

  • Melonie Syrett's career as a primary school teacher took a turn when a series of synchronistic events steered her onto a very different path. Her discovery of Reiki and other holistic modalities were the spiritual breadcrumbs of a magical journey that just kept on growing...
When a serious health condition was diagnosed 'without a cure', Melonie immersed herself in sound healing where she realised her love of drumming to be the greatest healer of all.
The spirit of the drum has become the driving force of her life in many ways, and Melonie now makes and decorates her drums with stunning artwork channelled by the spirits of the land and the ancestors. She holds drumming circles, and drum birthing workshops, drum circle facilitator training and retreats... as well as travelling to sacred sites, festivals and markets.
This year sees her first Drum convention in Essex as part of the call to build a community and fully embody the spirit of the Drum as an instrument of healing and transformation for people and the planet.
    What a magical conversation!
