  • Seit 2023 steht Andreas Babler offiziell an der Spitze der SPÖ. Dorthin gekommen ist er nicht auf Anhieb - Stichwort Excel-Liste. Im Nationalrat sucht man Andreas Babler vergeblich, im Bundesrat wird man fündig - und in Traiskirchen, wo er immer noch Bürgermeister ist. Seit 2017 ist die SPÖ im Bund in der Oppositionsrolle. Aktuell stellt sie 40 Mandatare und Mandatarinnen im Nationalrat. Dass sie von der Oppositions- auf die Regierungsbank wechseln will, daraus macht die SPÖ kein Geheimnis.
