  • Summary

  • For as long as women have had breasts we’ve been told what to do with them, how to wear them, when to show them, when to hide them and who should have access to them. In order to prioritise the wellbeing of our breasts it’s important we feel in control of our assets so we can advocate for ourselves. In this final episode of Breast Assured, Sarah is joined by Johanna and Brittany from social enterprise Nope Sisters, along with Shannon McAlpine and Shavaughn Ruakere, daughter and close friend respectively of broadcaster Helena McAlpine who lost her life to breast cancer in 2015. Together Sarah and her guests explore some of the strides being made to help us take back ownership of our boobs so we can feel empowered to do whatever it is we want with them and not worry what anyone else thinks! They also share their personal stories of supporting loved ones through breast cancer, and how those experiences gave them a new perspective on breast ownership. – Visit breastcancerfoundation.org.nz Follow @pinkribbonNZ Download the Pre Check App now on Apple or Android Learn more about your ad choices.
