  • Mark Inglis lost both of his legs in 1982 when he, along with his partner and fellow climber Philip Doole, got stuck in an ice cave for 13 days, during an intense blizzard, on Mount Cook. Mark would later fulfill his mission to summit Mount Cook and then he became the first double-amputee to climb Mt Everest.
