Living in a Time of Dying

By: Meghan Elizabeth Tauck
  • Summary

  • Living in a Time of Dying is a podcast about living in a time of global pandemic, social upheaval and injustice, climate catastrophe, and mass extinction. Host Meghan Elizabeth Tauck and guests discuss a selection of chapters from the eponymous book, Living in a Time of Dying: Cries of Grief, Rage, Love, and Hope, co-authored by herself and Taoist mystic, Toltec I Ching master, and wisdom teacher, William Douglas Horden. We will explore the questions, conundrums, paradox, and fractal edges of this thing called living, as we as a species face immense social inequities and suffering as well as the unfolding climate crisis, all while carrying the usual, everyday trials of just being human, always aware of one’s own inevitable mortality and yet unaware of the time or place of one’s final breath-- or, indeed, of what comes after… This is an invitation to commune and feel together the weight of these times, with all the grief, rage, love, and hope that it arouses within us, so that together we may dream a new world into being.
