  • Summary

  • As a plus-sized actor, Lisa Brounstein portrayed many people of size. Topping the scale at over 385 pounds Lisa played many different roles from the Fat Lady on HBO’s Carnivale to Mama Cass in the film My Dinner with Jimi. She has also been an outspoken advocate for people of size. She appeared on Oprah discussing “What It’s Like To Be Fat” exclaiming to Oprah, “I love my body!” Now, years later, she has lost over 185 pounds naturally (125 in the last few years living a ketogenic lifestyle) and still loves her body and wants people to love theirs in the most healthful way possible. She still fights her demons daily – disordered eating, body dysmorphia along with Type 2 Diabetes, menopause, and anxiety.
