Lighting to Help Your Circadian Rhythm with Robert Soler

  • Summary

  • In this episode I had the pleasure of talking to Robert Soler about how circadian or biological lighting in your home can help you live healthier and sleep better.

Robert is a co-founder of BIOS Lighting, a NASA spinoff that creates human-centric circadian lighting solutions to help human and plant life naturally thrive. Prior to BIOS, his most prominent work was at Kennedy Space Center, where he was the Subject Matter Expert for NASA’s circadian lighting system to synchronize astronauts to a 24-hour cycle on board International Space Station.

We discussed what your circadian rhythm is, how everyone has a slightly different body clock, and how it's affected by the lighting that we're exposed to throughout the day. The goal of BIOS Lighting is 'brighter days and darker nights'. He explained the best places to have circadian lighting in your home and how to use it effectively.
