Laugh Laugh Please Please is proud to bring the first draft of Shaun of the Dead: A Eurovision Musical, soon to be found in (some) theatres (maybe). Join us in a delirious fever dream as we pitch a mostly original idea, where we only recycle the movie plot and a dozen Eurovision songs, but everything else is fully on us.

Laugh Laugh Please Please is back in session and after a long summer of tears, karaoke and uncontrollable heat, this is our back to school episode, with the return of an old faithful: The Battles. This time around we have songs with the same titles fighting each other, but if you thought that the language barrier would keep them safe, you know nothing about war.

This month we’ll explore themes beyond borders, and see how different vernaculars produce different art. We explore lyrics about longing, death, love, marriage, faith, and we find that through the years and across countries, music is a universal means of communication after all.

A curveball will hit our two game show participants, with a challenge never seen before, and a vocal performance that will remain engraved in your brains for years to come. Do make sure you stay till the end, you don’t want to miss this.
