  • Il 23 agosto del 1268, in una vasta pianura della Marsica settentrionale abruzzese, si disputò una battaglia campale fra due agguerriti eserciti: i ghibellini di Corradino di Svevia e i guelfi di Carlo I d’Angiò. Fu uno scontro spettacolare, colmo di tattiche ingegnose, colpi di scena e gesta eroiche: un mix avventuroso che non ho potuto ignorare nella fase di documentazione del mio ultimo romanzo “La Stirpe delle Ossa”, dove il ferro affilato e le manate in faccia la fanno da padrone.
