  • Shawn Sourgose – Writer, Director, Producer. Born and raised in Northern California, Shawn was influenced by local filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, Saul Zaentz and George Lucas. At 18 he began film school college and eventually transferred to San Francisco State University gaining a BA in Cinema. In 1996 he wrote, directed and produced his first feature, "Brown Sheep", a dark comedy that sold internationally. In 1999 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in the film business. He worked in television on "America's Most Wanted" and the first season of ABC's comedy series "Less Than Perfect" that starred Eric Roberts and Zachary Levi. He decided to focus on creating content as an independent filmmaker. Shawn was the creative force behind the feature films "Blood Of Redemption," starring Billy Zane, Dolph Lundgren and Vinnie Jones as well as "Wrath of Cain" starring Ving Rhames and Robert Patrick. He has been under contract as a writer for American Film Partners and optioned with Anthony Romano, producer of "Catch Me if You Can" and "I Robot." In 2020, he was diagnosed with stage 4 papillary thyroid cancer, which initially receded after surgery and radiation, but returned with a vengeance, metastasizing to a form with an incurable diagnosis. He attended a healing Mass shortly after the return diagnosis. When he was prayed over by a priest he was healed. His own doctors cannot explain what happened. Shawn knows what happened, God happened. Through the power of prayer and faith, he was healed.
