Kentucky Senior Night Recap & Arkansas Preview

  • Summary

  • Wednesday night we saw the Vanderbilt Commodores beat the Kentucky Wildcats by a final score of 68-66 which snapped the Cats 4 game win streak. Biggest storyline coming out of the 1st half was the injury to the Commodores leading scorer and 7 footer Liam Robbins. The storyline coming out of the 2nd half was Cason Wallace leaving with an ankle injury. And storyline for the game was an inability to find a way to win. With no true point guard on the court, Vanderbilt was able to pressure UK as they went with a 5 guard lineup most the second half. Definitely not the way anybody saw Senior Night going and really was quite the letdown in front of a riled up crowd.

Kentucky will their shot at redemption as they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday afternoon. At this point it is unknown whether or not Cason Wallace will suit up in this one but either way the Wildcats will have no excuses in this one. They need to show up and play well, no more time to have bad games at this point in the season. A lot is on the line as seeding in both the SEC and NCAA tournament are on the line.
