There was one federal prosecutor who was assigned by the Department of Justice to be present at, observe, and work the protest-turned-insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Former federal prosecutor Alyse Adamson (Constantinide) is that person.

For the first time, Alyse tells her story on air, and it is a riveting account of what she witnessed and experienced on the grounds of the Capitol on January 6th. As she watched the brutal attacks on law enforcement and experienced the pepper spray/bear spray first hand, she told her DOJ supervisors, "This is terrorism!"

After spending January 6th, 2021, watching the Trump-incited mob trying to stop the certification of Joe Biden's election win, Alyse spent January 7th representing the people of the United States in court as the first rioters to be arrested in connection with the Capitol attack were arraigned in court for the the crimes they committed the day before.

January 6, 2025, could not have been more different than January 6, 2021. Four years ago, Donald Trump lost an election and made sure all hell would break loose, sending his angry mob to the Capitol to stop the certification.

Four years later, Trump won an election and Kamala Harris and the Democrats behaved like adults and patriots, peacefully certifying the election results. Now it's time to stop fighting yesterday's battles and turn our attention to tomorrow's battle for the soul of America. We are already virtually in another election cycle: the midterms. Let's leave the in-fighting, backstabbing, dysfunction and dissension to the Republicans and focus on restoring an allegiance to the rule of law and the Constitution, and rebuilding the promise and reputation of America, at home and abroad.

Recall that Special Counsel Jack Smith was required by Department of Justice policy to dismiss the classified documents case against Donald Trump because DOJ has a horrific policy that a criminal president cannot be prosecuted while in office. However, the Mara-a-Lago documents case continues against Trump's two co-defendants, Walt Nauta and Carlos de Oliveira. The case presently is being appealed as a result of Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon dismissing the case contrary to existing precedent. Given that Jack Smith is stepping down as Special Counsel, he just transferred the classified documents case to federal prosecutors at the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. Glenn discusses what we can expect moving forward.

As recently reported by NBC News: "Appeals court upholds $5 million E. Jean Carroll verdict against Trump." This is the first of the two cases to make it through the apples court. E. Jean Carroll won both cases against Trump but he appealed them both. The second case, in which a jury awarded Ms. Carroll $83 million is still pending appeal. As Politico reported: "Former FBI and CIA Head Prods Senate to Reject Patel, Gabbard."

William Webster is the only person ever to serve as both head of the FBI and head of the CIA. But even beyond that, Mr. Webster has a deep well of experience with the FBI in particular, given his other positions as United States Attorney, federal trial court judge and federal court of appeals judge. Mr. Webster has sent a letter the United States Senate urging them to refuse to confirm Patel and Gabbard, saying, "I urge you to weigh the critical importance of nonpartisan leadership and experience . . .The safety of the American people - and your own families - depends on it."

We know that the House Ethics Committee found "substantial evidence" that Matt Gaetz engaged in misconduct in multiple ways. But there are other questions to be answered:

1. Did Gaetz get a full opportunity to tell the Ethics Committee his side of the story?

2. Why did the committee stop short of sanctioning Gaetz?

3. What of the Department of Justice investigation of Gaetz which resulted in no charges being filed?
