• Mark Tauscher on JM&M
    Nov 21 2024
Mark Tauscher joins Jim, Matt & Molly to discuss the Packers' upcoming game versus maybe their biggest rival, the 49ers, and the state of Badgers football after Phil Longo was fired as offensive coordinator. Molly asks for Tausch's reaction to Luke Fickell's viral comments about why offensive play callers don't matter, and Jim picks Tausch's brain on what kind of short list the Fickell and AD Chris McIntosh should consider in their OC search. Matt wants to know how Tausch thinks the final two games of the Badgers season will play out versus Nebraska and Minnesota. Molly pushes them back towards the Packers and Jim's disagreement with Tausch on Twitter that the 7-3 Packers might have just as much on the line as the 5-5 49ers this weekend. They have a spirited debate on the team's standings in the playoff race as the Packers likely need a Wild Card spot to make it out of the NFC North while San Fran is still just one game behind the division-leading Cardinals in the NFC West. How much would it mean for the Packers emotionally if they can crush the 49ers playoff chances this week, and is keeping San Fran out of the postseason actually the Packers' best chance to beat the 49ers in the playoffs?

  • 4PM: Packers vs 49ers in the Regular Season
    Nov 21 2024
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton & Molly Brown broadcast for their last time this week with high school football playoffs taking over the airwaves Thursday and Friday. They discuss this Sunday's BIG Packers vs 49ers game, as some are saying that Green Bay could break 5-5 San Fran's playoff hopes with a win this Sunday. Jim disagrees with Tausch's take from this morning, claiming that the Packers could "put a dagger" in the 49ers' season, and Jim, Matt and Molly discuss if the 7-3 Packers actually have more on the line based on potential playoff scenarios. Are the 49ers in better position to catch up to the 6-4 Cardinals in the NFC West than the 7-3 Packers can catch up to the 9-1 Lions in the NFC North, and where do the Packers project in the wild-card playoff seeding? Molly is out next week for Thanksgiving, so this might be their last show all together before Molly gives birth to her twins! Jim and Matt get emotional over Molly's coming departure, and Molly's just ready to kick out of her swollen, pregnant ankles. They also play Don't Quote Me with Molly's upcoming pregnancy, as they make predictions on the Packers and Badgers seasons related to the due date of Molly's twins! They wrap up Hour 1 with Minute to Win It, as Jim and producer Primetime quiz Matt and Molly and the top-10 passing leaders in Badgers football history!

  • 5PM: Molly's Last Game (maybe...)
    Nov 21 2024
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton & Molly Brown roll into the After Dark portion of what's already been a silly goose Phish Wednesday. With the show off the air Thursday and Friday, they quickly get into their usual late-week segments. First they hit Molly's Game, as the guys pick a side on betting lines set by Molly, including for tonight's Bucks vs Bulls game and #6 Badgers Volleyball's "silent" set vs #16 Minnesota at the Field House as well as the field-goal kicking in TNF between the Browns and Steelers. Mark Tauscher joins Jim, Matt & Molly to discuss the Packers' upcoming game versus maybe their biggest rival, the 49ers, and the state of Badgers football after Phil Longo was fired as offensive coordinator. Jim, Matt & Molly wrap up what is possibly Molly's last day on the show before giving birth by re-visiting their pessimist vs realist and pixelated foot photo poll questions..

  • Evan Cohen on JM&M
    Nov 20 2024
Evan Cohen of Unsportsmanlike joins Jim, Matt & Molly two days after the Packers snuck out a 20-19 win versus the Bears and the Badgers fired OC Phil Longo! Jim can't wait to hear Evan's thoughts about Luke Fickell's decision to move on from Longo, but he's not thrilled at Evan's take that emphasizing what you're good at isn't a bad thing for the Badgers. Evan also gives some of the names he'd like to be the Badgers' next OC, but more than anything he just wants to know when Braelon Allen will be releasing his tell-all podcast about his final season in the Badgers offense! Evan catches Jim trying to change subjects to the Packers, where Matt wants to know if Evan sees the Packers as a top-10 team in the NFL right now. Molly asks if it matters so long as the Packers make the playoffs, but does anyone believe they can just flip the switch come playoff time? Evan wants to know if Matt is still a blind believer in the Jets QB after GM Woody Johnson got canned today, and Matt wants to know what's the most Evan's ever spent on clothes (Gucci!).

  • 4PM: Green Bay Packers -- Top 10 or Top 5?
    Nov 20 2024
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton and Molly Brown broadcast live from North and South Seafood & Smokehouse in Verona ahead of tonight's special live edition of the Kelly Sheffield Show. With Molly still at the zoo (aka her remote setup at home), Jim and Matt brag about being able to take down extra Coors Lights at N&S without her. They get into their usual Tuesday show topic, asking if the Packers are closer to being a top-10 team or having a top-10 QB in the NFL -- though Jim makes the case that they aren't even a top-5 team in the NFC! They run through the teams in each conference that should be in front of the Packers, Matt can't stand Jim's take that the Commanders are ahead of the Pack, and Molly asks how much it matters so long as Green Bay gets to the dance of the playoffs? Jim shreds the idea that the Chiefs aren't a top-5 team despite being 9-1 this season. Evan wants to know if Matt is still a blind believer in the Jets QB after GM Woody Johnson got canned today, and Matt wants to know what's the most Evan's ever spent on clothes (Gucci!). They wrap up with the High Life Dive Bar of the Week -- The Wisco -- and Ryan our Psychedelic Advisor wants everyone to know that he called Love's sophomore slump and that the Badgers can still win with "Barry Ball"!

  • 5PM: Sending the Jets to Sports Jail
    Nov 20 2024
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton and Molly Brown continue on from North and South Seafood and Smokehouse in Verona, where they're discussing whether the Packers should be considered a top-10 team in the NFL (or even top-5 in the NFC) and what style of offense that the Badgers should run going forward after OC Phil Longo was fired this week. But, Molly kicks the show off the rails when she sends and unsolicited (and non-pixelated) pic of her swollen pregnant feet to Jim and Matt, and they go out of their way to make Molly jealous of their burnt ends (aka meat candy) at North & South! Primetime takes the crew through What Missed, catching up Matt Hamilton on all the sports news that he's missed while curling in Canada and vacationing in San Diego over the last three weeks. Who got got by a fake Jared Goff stat on Twitter, who's whispering in people's ears about Deion Sanders, and what ESPN Madison offensive lineman isn't flinching on his take about firing coaches? They wrap up with some final thanks for the great food at North & South before playing Throwing Stones, as Jim argues that Aaron Rodgers needs to be thrown in "sports jail" for single-handedly sabotaging the Jets franchise after GM Woody Johnson was fired today.

  • Jason Wilde on JM&M
    Nov 19 2024
Jason Wilde joins Jim, Matt & Molly to discuss the Packers nearly losing to the Bears at Soldier Field but surviving thanks to a last-second blocked field goal. Molly asks Jason if he was surprised by how the game played, and Matt wants to know why Matt LaFleur was getting on his assistant coaches on the sideline this week. What NSFW comments did Jim catch from his seats at the game? Jim also explains why he feels okay despite the Bears loss, and he asks how the Packers' pass rush managed to get just three sacks against a team that gave up 16 over the previous two weeks? Jason also outlines the reasons to feel good about the offense. Matt finally explains why he didn't watch the second half because he was taking a flight back to Wisconsin on a plane with Christian Watson's aunt! Also, why didn't Matt give up his seat to his own wife???

  • 4PM: Packers Block the Bears Field Goal!
    Nov 19 2024
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton and Molly Brown are all BACK (in Wisconsin) after Matt's week out in San Diego. They react to the Packers NOT blowing out the Bears as the rest of the Green & Gold homers expected, sneaking a 20-19 win thanks to a last-second blocked field goal. They dive into the Packers' continued struggles, and Jordan Love AND Caleb Williams each having maybe their best games of the season. Jim gives his Bears fan point of view as someone who attended the game at Soldier Field, and Matt recaps some of the highlights of his trip out West including when he met Christian Watson's aunt on the flight back to Wisco! Molly also tries to hold the team accountable in a win, but is she being a pessimistic or realistic Packers fans (unlike the guys on KBN). They also touch on Jim's other sad (but possibly more depressing) night on Saturday after the Badgers dropped a near-win against #1 Oregon in Camp Randall.
