Jason Emery (Cryptic, Nocturnal Torment) 4-24-2020

  • Summary

  • Jason Emery, aka Pretty Boy Jay, aka Vessel returns to the show for a second attempt at discussing Black Metal. We talk about his bands Cryptic and Nocturnal Torment, including how they were formed and where they are now. He also discusses why he doesn't release his music in the traditional sense, and that you can only get it if you know him, or know someone that knows him. We then approach the more general topic of the Black Metal genre as a whole. Jay explains what black metal is including the sound, how it makes you feel, and and why there is some debate as to whether or not certain bands are Black Metal. Jay also gives his opinion on the different subgenres of Black Metal.
