    Feb 17 2025
Have you ever looked at a slug and wondered how long it would take it to travel a mile? Ever been browsing eBay and been curious to know what would happen if you put your entire life on auction? Have you ever been enjoying a morning bowl of Coco Pops and pondered what the first ever cereal box toy was? Well wonder no more as Jaack has “researched the shit out of three topics” (his words) and it’s time for Stevie and Alfie to be schooled. Slug sex, chicken nugget challenges, pocket-sized planets, sacred sandwiches and a MrBeast conspiracy feature in this intellectual episode. We discover that one of the boys commits a major cereal faux pas, we find out the horrifying reason Cornflakes were originally invented, and we learn exactly how much Stevie and Alfie are worth as humans using a very scientific method… Learn more about your ad choices. • 537 - Meet JaackMaate's New Partner!
    Feb 10 2025
After 10 years with his fiancée Fiona, Jaack has decided that the love river has dried up and it's time to search elsewhere for a sweetheart. He's opened up applications, though only two guys were brave enough to apply. His secret admirers both have to pitch their dream date to win Jaack's heart, but who will be crowned boyfriend at the end? Will an elaborate proposal using a running app get Jaack's heart racing? Does swapping a romantic dinner for hallucinogens win Jaack's affection? Will the final poetry slam change everything? Sweaty roleplay for starters, meat innuendoes for mains, and drug driving for dessert. These are two potential dates that go from 0 to 100 in no time, and it doesn’t take long before a heated argument kicks off as the potential matches battle it out... Learn more about your ad choices. • 536 - DAN TIERNAN - From Dyspraxic Dinner Lady, To British Comedian Of The Year!
    Feb 6 2025
In this episode of Happy Hour, we spend 90 minutes with comedian Dan Tiernan who is as brilliant as he is bizarre. From dealing with dyspraxia, to working as a school dinner lady, to being crowned British Comedian Of The Year in 2022 - Dan doesn’t like to take the conventional path. His second EVER stand up gig was an impromptu set in New York, and he’s performed at Live At The Apollo with one of Jaack’s comedy heroes! He’s also tried his hand at acting (he caused a TV show to be axed after his appearance) and performing magic (Dan details a gruesome injury from when his trick went wrong). He shares why an audience member threw his entire drink over him at one of his shows, and the insult dealt by fellow comic Jon Richardson that Dan will never forgot. We also chat about his gout diagnosis, how gout affects his daily life, what his first gout symptoms were, what caused his gout… what we’re trying to say here is that it’s a very “gout heavy” episode. If you take just one thing away from this episode, make it Dan’s life-saving Natwest banking hack! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • 535 - Celebrities Ask The FourSkins Weirdly Personal Questions...
    Feb 3 2025
The ball machine. The mystical contraption where previous Happy Hour guests submit weird and wonderful questions to be answered by future guests. Its shiny red button has been tempting us for months, and we’ve finally caved. The FourSkins are digging deep (in Stevie’s ball bag) to answer some of those questions - some are silly, some are serious, a lot are sex related. From the most ridiculous hypothetical scenarios to the deepest darkest confessions, we promise to answer honestly (sometimes way too honestly). Angry Ginge asks the age-old question: ever sucked someone’s toes? (We won’t spoil the answer, but you might be surprised) Luke Littler raises a life-or-death dilemma involving the Grim Reaper. Sam Tompkins’ question leads us to unpack the logistical nightmare of living as a literal house. TommyInnit investigates our shagging preferences, FrostBit Boy is curious about our fetishes, and Darragh Ennis is daring us to swim with predators (not the neighbour kind). • 534 - JOE MARLER - Rank Rugby Initiations, Kissed By A Killer, & STEALING From Peter Crouch!
    Jan 30 2025
You just have to take one look at Jaack and Stevie to come to the conclusion that they’re not exactly “rugby boys”. Cue retired England rugby legend Joe Marler. With precisely zero rugby knowledge between the hosts, Joe gives us a crash course in rugby and even puts Jaack’s newfound skills to the test with an actual scrum! Rugby has plenty of weird terms for the boys to learn. What is a Mulligrubber? How about an Alickadoo? Rugby players are also infamous for their gross initiations - Joe tells us stories involving spider pig, scissoring and spanking. We cover his Haka controversy, coming out of retirement, and his podcast interviewing people with obscure jobs. And we maaaay have accidentally caused beef between Joe Marler and Danny Aarons… Joe’s humour perfectly fits the vibe of Happy Hour, and this 90 minutes feels more like a main show than a Thursday guest interview! • 533 - Not So Superpowers 2
    Jan 27 2025
Jaack has come up with a list of bizarre superpowers that the boys can choose to gain, however each superpower comes with a caveat that may make them wish they stayed a mere mortal. Would you want the ability to swim insanely fast, but you constantly stink of fish? Never have to wipe after a poop, but peeing takes 5x longer? Gain 3 inches in penis length but lose 3 inches of height? (High brow stuff). Elite fighting skills, irresistible to strangers, walking through walls… each superpower comes with a big catch. Plus it's not just the powers that are questionable as Jaack has a hygiene confession AND a sexual confession that we’re pretty sure he should have kept to himself… Check out #412 for the first instalment of Not So Superpowers! • 532 - TOM DAVIS - BAFTA Winner, Bad Auditions, & Bludgeoning Pigeons!
    Jan 23 2025
We sit down with the multi-talented comedian, actor and all-around lovely geezer Tom Davis who has us howling for 90 minutes! Tom’s first job as a scaffolder is a far cry from the red carpets he walks today. Despite having never had any acting lessons, Tom stars in Wonka and Paddington 2. He shares what Timothée Chalamet is like off screen, and why the trailer he was given on set caused a bit of a problem! Tom co-created BAFTA winning ‘Murder In Successville’ which, despite ITV not being keen on the sitcom in the first script read through, went on to have a Netflix USA adaptation. Tom went from being a scaffolder to a stand up comedian in just a few years - though not without a few bad gigs along the way, especially a particularly bad set at Download festival where bodily fluids were thrown at him… We also chat about his podcast Wolf and Owl with fellow comic Romesh Ranganathan, and his one bad habit that had his viewers fuming. Plus why he’s not a huge supporter of Edinburgh Fringe, his scary footie match experience, and one of his early jobs scaring pigeons! Learn more about your ad choices.
