    Dec 6 2024

Our culture has many varying and loud ideas about beauty and what we need to do to keep ourselves looking young. We all struggle with comparison to some degree. Today's episode brings refreshing insight into enjoying simple ways to highlight the beauty God has given us.
Jill Swanson is a Christian image and color consultant. She enjoys helping women feel good about themselves and the way God created them – inside and out. But she didn't always feel that way about herself. It took years of working through a birth defect that threatened her life many times to learn to appreciate the beauty God's given her and all of us from the inside and out.

  • A Remembrance Day & Veterans Day Special. Her Son's Sacrifice is Still Bringing Hope to Others 18 Years Later -
    Nov 8 2024

Many of us have no idea the magnitude of sacrifice our soldiers, veterans, and their families have given for the freedom we have in this country. Unless you’re in community with a military family, it’s hard to connect the stories you hear of war overseas and the movies you’ve watched with the reality of life for soldiers and their loved ones. Debbie knows all too personally the cost of war. On September 11, 2001, she had a son in the U.S. Navy (Soon to become a Navy Seal at the time), one in the Marines, and another in the Army.

Then, on August 2, 2006, she would become a “Gold Star Mom” when her son, Marc Lee, was killed in combat in Iraq. We encourage you to listen to this episode for a few reasons:

    1) You’re inspired by hearing stories of God at work in people’s lives

    2) You’d like to understand more of how to trust the Lord when your world feels shattered

    3) You have a love for military families and desire to know ways you can support them

    4) You’re a veteran or Gold Star family member looking for an understanding community to be a part of and/or you’ve suffered PTSD from the war and are desperate to find healing

Needless to say, you’re not going to want to miss this episode! Everyone can benefit from it.

  • The Assurance of God’s Presence
    Oct 25 2024

Has God ever called you to a task that made you feel completely inadequate? The truth is, God isn’t looking for your ability—He’s looking for your availability. Join us as we explore how God equips those who answer His call, no matter how unprepared they might feel.

Many of us are in what feels like the busiest season of our lives. When we think we’re at our max capacity, God can have the tendency to ask us to do something more or different that pushes us past what we think are our limits. This can tempt us to fear. Fear the weight of the responsibility. Fear the trek into the unknowns. Fear of the people we’re called to serve. But God. He is with us wherever we go.

When we look at the assignment from God’s perspective instead of our own, we have the strength and power to forge ahead with joy and expectation of what He’s going to do next.

Listen to this episode and learn how the Lord can change your mindset to help you not only survive through the assignment, but even rise above it!
