Insecurities about Language with Martha: Learning From an Introvert

  • Summary

  • Hey Language Learners! Welcome back to another amazing interview about Insecurities about Language. In this episode, I spoke with Martha Summerlin, a self-proclaimed language nerd, proud introvert and cat fan. When she isn’t buried in books or thinking about how language works, you can find her exploring one of North Carolina’s beautiful parks, trying out a new coffee shop or talking your ear off about the marvels of baseball and Formula 1. Having studied sociolinguistics (the study of people’s attitudes towards dialects and accents) she’s passionate about sharing the value of each dialect and language and what they have to teach us about each other.

Her podcast has now been out since March 2023 called Shhh...I'm Learning! Make sure you give it a listen!
