Hey Language Learners! Welcome back to the last episode of season 1, and another amazing interview about Insecurities about Language. In this episode, I spoke with Marcus from Louisiana. He’s a polyglot and currently live in Pamplona, Spain, the place of the famous running of the bulls. He studied both Psychology (Bachelor’s) and Linguistics (Master’s). He has a unique interest in minority language because he is a minority language speaker. His hope is to preserve them and help them gain speakers before they are all gone.
You’ll hear Marcus speak about his background with language learning and his family as well. He lets us know what a minority language is, its importance and benefits. He talks about his minority language, its geographical location, a little history lesson on the Basque language and its evolution. He also talks about how to maintain a minority language. Marcus mentions language isolates. And of course, he talks about his insecurities about language.
