  • Uncensored 001: Strength, Scotch, and Shonen - The Entrepreneurial Journey of Edward Say
    Apr 20 2024

In this episode, we're thrilled to sit down with Edward Say, a multifaceted individual whose journey through fitness, personal growth, and entrepreneurship is nothing short of inspiring.

From the early days of training in his home gym to earning a degree in Sport Science and Management from NTU, Edward's story is one of resilience and determination. Despite facing challenges like obesity since Pri 3 and navigating the rigors of army life, his commitment to self-improvement has never wavered.

Edward's fitness journey has been shaped by a diverse array of influences, from the world of anime to classic mangas like History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi and Grappler Baki. Drawing inspiration from these sources, he's explored disciplines ranging from powerlifting and CrossFit to martial arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

But Edward's impact extends beyond his personal pursuits. As co-founder of Domain Expansion Athletics Coaching, he's dedicated to helping others achieve intrinsically motivated mastery over their fitness goals. Grounded in evidence-based principles and influenced by industry leaders like Eric Helms, his coaching approach emphasizes holistic development and sustainable progress.

Outside of the gym, Edward's passion for connection and camaraderie led him to found Nakama Spirits, a company built on the idea of fostering friendships over drinks. From sampling whisky at CellarFiesta 2022 to working at The Swan Song, his ventures reflect a deep appreciation for the spirit of friendship and shared experiences.

Join us as we delve into Edward's journey, exploring the intersections of fitness, entrepreneurship, and the power of human connection. Subscribe now to catch this insightful conversation with Edward Say. Cheers to growth, friendship, and the pursuit of excellence!
