The fund manages assets of nearly $2.1 billion. In June, it completed the acquisition of a 15 percent stake in global topical drugs manufacturer Encube Ethicals Private Limited, for a total consideration of $119 million and it has invested $70 million in a female hygiene company and India’s first senior diaper maker Nobel Hygiene. Varma talks about the fund’s investments, upcoming exits of its vintage fund and why the pandemic is an open lesson on need for public healthcare infrastructure
