    Feb 11 2025

This week we’re covering Colossians 1:21-23.“And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.”These verses consist of some of the “controversial” scriptures that scholars have debated over for centuries, as it has something to say with whether or not we can lose our salvation.Or does it?

  • Multiplying The Kingdom: Our Vision and Strategy for 2025
    Jan 27 2025

Today, we covered Hope Rock’s vision for the year. It’s very exciting as we look forward to 2025! Too often, the Church tends to get into a habit of focusing on the Church. But God called us to be Kingdom-focused, not church-focused, with Christ at the center. A church-focused church is only interested in what it is doing as a church (usually an organization comprising pastors and staff) and often whether it is doing it better than another church. A Kingdom-focused church, by contrast, is interested in God's mission and whether we are all fulfilling what God calls us to in the world, with Christ as our head. This change in thinking fundamentally changes what is important.

    Jan 27 2025

JOHNSON CITY - "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
