Honoring family roots in Buddhism, while finding peace in Jesus

  • Summary

  • Chad and Somphien Manivanh both were born into Buddhist families in Southeast Asia during times of war. When they were young children, different Christian refugee programs helped them to get to America, where they continued to search for peace and ultimately found it in the Church of  Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They especially liked that many of the health codes that they honored in Buddhism were also honored in their new church. They met in college and married. Today they live in Everett Washington. Their home is a warm and loving place for visitors.

I hope Chad and Somphien's faith inspires you like it does me.

    God bless!
